With another Giants win yesterday, the magic number for them to clinch the division has dropped to single digits and sits at nine.
For those of you who don’t know what the magic number is, it represents any combination of Giants wins and Redskins losses (since they are the 2nd place team) that it takes to eliminate the second place team from winning the division. So any number of Giants win and Redskins losses that equals nine will give the NFC East crown to the New York Giants.

Combination of Giants Wins and Skins Losses… so, for example, since the Giants won today the number is 8, if the Skins lose it will be 7, but if they win it will stay at 8.
congats on the giant victory. you guys did’nt even play your best game and you pisspounded us. the giants are the team to beat right now. i’m a die-hard cowboy fan till the end and then i jump off the cliff with them. so this is hard, but it’s my duty as a real football fan to acknowledge a dominated loss when i see it. i always call it like i see it. i think we will still make a run at a wild card, but it looks as though you guys or wash will be the div. champs. you guys are more complete, but they got intangebles? hats off for now, we will meet again in dallas……davedallasfan
