Also when it comes to a Superbowl the home teams market is irrelevant. People in New York will watch anyways, because it is the Super Bowl. Really the story lines and the interest in the game will determine the ratings. The National interest is what matters most.

That is why the Eagles Cowboys game is the highest rated game ever, because of the story lines, great rivalry, and excitement for a great game.

The Eagles-Cowboys game on Monday night was epic on the field -- and the national cable audience noticed in a big way. ESPN's Monday Night Football delivered the biggest audience in the history of cable television. The game earned a 13.3 rating, representing 12,953,000 homes (18,608,000 P2+), edging the previous record, ESPN's New England – Baltimore Monday Night Football telecast of December 3, 2007 (12,529,000 homes, based on a 13.0 rating, 17,522,000 P2+).

Get you head out of your ass, and stick to topics you actually know. Here's an idea: when writing for public consumption, try a little thing called research. This is the actual order, by media market size, of the teams that played this weekend:

Giants (1)
Eagles (8)
Cardinals (15)
Chargers (17)
Ravens (19)
Steelers (24)
Panthers (25)
Titans (36)
