Compensatory picks were released yesterday, and the Giants got a nice surprise when they learned that they would be receiving and extra 3rd round pick (number 100 overall) in the upcoming NFL draft.

The Giants now own 10 picks in the ’09 Draft (1,2,2,3,3,4,5,5,6,7), and five picks in the top 100 selections. Although compensatory picks cannot be traded, the Giants may be more willing to part with their other 3rd round selection now either in a trade up or in a package deal for Braylon Edwards.

Below is a complete breakdown of the compensatory picks.
