The Giants decided today to cut troubled wide receiver Plaxico Burress. They proposed a new contract to him, but he declined. New York felt that Burress still hadn’t changed, and that he did not want to be here.
Well it’s time to move on with live without Plax.
What to do Now?
Jerry, it’s time for you to shine. Our clear-cut number one need now is definitely WR. You know Braylon Edwards can be had at the right price. We have ten picks in the Draft, give them a good deal and get this done. We are primed to win now, and you cant count on a rookie steeping in and contributing right away.

Good riddance!
I loved Plax like an annoying girl who was great in bed, but I’ve simply grown tired of worrying about him. The juice is no longer worth the squeeze.
The court date getting pushed back killed me. This whole situation takes and emotional toll. Now we know exactly where we stand. When the news broke I felt a great sense of…
…relief.
No doubt Plax was the key offensive weapon in our Super Bowl run. However,he was unpredictable and the main reason we didn’t repeat last year. You can’t trust him and for that reason he had to go. Trade for Edwards and draft a WR early. A TE, too, can’t hurt.
