RIP Giants season

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

It was fun while it lasted, but it seems the Giants season has come to a close. If they continued to play the way they did on Sunday, it would be a very short postseason anyway. Regardless, that was a shitty way to send off Giants Stadium.
After getting stomped by Carolina on Sunday the G-Men have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. It’s just as well, with that secondary there was no way the Giants could make a run. I just hope they fire Sheridan, he was an ass and a lot of the players hated him. I guess it’s [...]

Happy Holidays

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Dear Santa:
All I want this year is for the G-Men to win out
And perhaps another Dallas December Decline, no doubt
If I’m not pushing my luck, I could use a postseason win or two; that’d be fun
A Manning against Manning Super Bowl? Thanks, I’d love another 18-1!
If you can’t deliver, oh well, it’s no big thing
‘Cause the Yanks just stomped out of Philly and claimed their 27th ring!!!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody

Giants crush Redskins

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

After a 45-12 thrashing of the Forskins on Monday night, the Giants’ playoff picture is still in focus. At 8-6 the G-Men are currently out of the playoffs, but luckily the season doesn’t end today. Teams still have two more games to play, and the Giants are only one game behind Dallas for the final Wild Card spot. Here is what the NFC playoff standings look like as of now:

Taints, 13-1
Vikes, 11-3
Iggs, 10-4
Cards, 9-5

Wild Card leaders: Packers, 9-5; Cowgirls, 9-5.
And the Giants lurk only one game back at 8-6; if they win out and can finagle a tie with Dallas, [...]

My bad

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

It was my fault the G-Men fell on Sunday night. And for that I’m sorry.
The last four Giants home games I’ve been to, the team has shit the bed like no other. It started out with Tiki’s last home game – a 30-7 shellacking at the hands of the Saints on Christmas Eve in ‘06. That was painful. Then it carried over to the 41-17 Vikings triumph the next season (however, with the way that season played out I have no reason to complain). And finally, the past two Eagles games at the Meadowlands I was at, and you know how those [...]

Let Dallas’ December decline begin!

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Cowboys kicked off their annual December slide at Giants Stadium yesterday, losing 31-24 to the G-Men.
I’m so happy the Giants could be a part of the 2009 Cowgirls’ downfall. With all the trash they were talking about the Eli wall-autograph thing in Week 2, it was poetic justice. It really couldn’t have happened to a better team. I HATE THE COWBOYS AND ALL OF THEIR SCUMBAG, BANDWAGON FANS. I hope Wade Phillips gets fired and the team doesn’t win a playoff game for another 13 years. How ’bout them Cowboys? F DALLAS.
The Giants secondary continued to look sketchy, but their run [...]

Tuck predicts playoff run

AUTHOR: Andrew Corselli | IN: Giants | COMMENTS: None Yet

Wow. This is the first sign of life the Giants have shown in a long time.
Justin Tuck has predicted the G-Men will go to the playoffs. I don’t know if he is just trying to fire up the fan base or he really believes the team is playoff bound, but I like it. It’s better than him saying the team is going to lay down and give up (which is the more likely scenario).
“Give me a scale,” Tuck said.
“One to 10,” he was told.
“Eleven,” Tuck replied. “Call me ignorant and foolish, but that’s the only way I know how to [...]
