Bousa,
It's not that I think Peyton Manning is completely to blame for the Colts loss; but the Colts lost the game as much as the Saints one it.
Peyton stats look fine but the interception is clearly on him as he forced the ball into good underneath coverage and throughout the game, despite not really being under much pressure, Peyton never took any shots down the field. Ultimately, Peyton played fine, the problem is that most of use looked at this game and decided that we couldn't fathom Peyton Manning not winning, so it is a surprise.

The Saints made what was otherwise a pretty ho-hum post season meaty again. And I'm not just saying that b/c I'm a broken down Chargers fan either. I'm ok with blaming Manning, he played a lifeless game, but in the end this win goes to Brees and maybe even more so it goes to Sean Payton, that guys got balls of steel! What a fan-frickintastic game, wish I could of been on bourbon street last night.

In your post about the 2004 draft, you claim you would take Eli over Rivers in the draft because Eli has won a Superbowl. Well, Eli's brother, while he played a decent game yesterday, lost. End of story. Sure, a better game from Peyton would have won the game for the Colts. However, a better game for the Patriots and Eli is another Manning without a ring. Many people would agree that the Patriots were the better team and could have or should have won that Superbowl, but did not. The Saints played a great game, had a great season, and proved they were the superior team yesterday.
