Hi Paul,
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply,i have been in the hospital for a couple weeks and just getting home and to email.(i suffer from a neuro disease) I love your articles and passion as a sports journalist and love reading about our giants. I appreciate you clairfying your point of view as well. I believe osi will show us he is up to the challenge and i feel he will lie up to the challenge fewell will give him.I think adding rolle into the mix is a good move as well for the secondary and he and phillips will be a good chemistry. As you can see i am very passionate about my gmen as well:) and a bit protective and very loyal. Keep the stories and news coming, kindly, mims

Mims,
I am not turning on Osi! I would love nothing more than for Osi to return to the Giants, re-claim the starting end position, and for the Giants defensive front to once again become a feared unit. I think any trade of Osi is unlikely, but, we should at least consider the fall-out from an Osi trade, which is what I was trying to get to here.
After listening to the Osi radio interview, I got the feeling that Osi is positioning himself for a stand-off against the Giants, and that he wants assurances about his role with the team in 2010 and beyond. I don't think the situation is even close to the point where Jerry Reese is going to ship Osi out. At least Osi has a little fire in his belly and wants to atone for last year's horrible result. But, wouldn't you feel better for Osi to take some bit of responsibility for his poor run defense in 2009? Just asking.

Make a run at Peppers. Trade Osi, he's not what everyone thinks he is (or what he thinks he is) He's been awful since Strahan hasn't been there to take the double team. His value will only go down.
