Michael Vick must be inspired by Cliff Lee. After having one of the best comeback seasons at QB in the history of the NFL, and now a free agent that can basically write his own ticket, Vick hopes to be an Eagles next year. He told Philly.com
“I would hope so. A lot of things have to happen. A lot of things have to take place. . . . But hopefully I’m a Philadelphia Eagle next season. We don’t even know if we’re going to have a season next year. So I’m just enjoying this season and taking it one game at a time, enjoying the locker room, and enjoying the guys.”
Vick is not exactly the picture of integrity in many people’s eyes. But staying with the team that brought him back to the limelight would probably be his best decision. The Eagles should offer him more money, obviously, but the idea of staying in Philadelphia should suit everyone involved. The team’s front office, coaches, players, the fans, Vick — everyone.
