Sorry Sam I have to disagree with you to some degree. While Reese has done a GREAT job, I don't think we're there yet. Our O line which is hailed as one of the best is not able to consistently open up wholes for the run against our two major opponents the eagles and the cowboys. We always say we need to be able to establish the run first in order to win and winning against division opponents is primary to any team. I know our pass protection is great, but our O line is getting old and replacements need to come. I'll agree the WR are outstanding, TE Boss keeps dropping easy passes, and potentially (without the fumbles)Bradshaw, Jacobs and even Ware are top notch.
Our defense on the other hand, except for the line is not quite even that far along. Again Reese has done a GREAT job in bringing in good people but they haven't lived up to expectations and our young draftees haven't come around either. Basically the same with the DBs who seem untouchable at certain times and doormats at others.
Which brings me directly to Fewell. I don't know about him yet because I'm not sure if it's faulty formations or lack of execution that's allowing so many long pass plays. If/when I find out, I'll know.
Gilbride on the other hand is,for me, too predictable. Since we don't yet have the best personnel we should be looking to confuse the opposition to some degree. Yet our WRs have often been out of place even on normal, regular routs. So again, I don't know.
My main thing is TC. This team's psyche seems almost schizophrenic at times swinging from great to terrible in minutes. If the team picks up things like desire, consistency and effort from their head coach, then Tom has to go.
