July 21, 17, 14 — October — it’s all the same when it comes to predicting the end of the NFL Lockout.

via PFT:

"an agreement in principle, subject to league and court approval, currently is expected to be announced on July 17.…Whether a new deal is announced on July 17 is a separate question. The story for now is that July 17 has emerged as the potential target."

This is slightly better than July 21, but I still like my prediction of July 14. That’s a long weekend sooner where we all would know and operate under the news that there will be football played in 2011.

Rotoworld is saying that dream, which John Clayton shares as well, is far too optimistic:

"It’s clear now that John Clayton was overly optimistic in predicting the deal’s finalization by Friday. Most of the key issues could be solved by then, however."
