Steve Smith Update

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Steve Smith was indeed offered a contract last night, but it was well below that of what he wants.
Smith is almost a guaranteed lock to start the season on the PUP list, so the Giants do have the leverage with that. Only question is will a team swoop in to give him a contract while the Giants are asleep behind the wheel?
More information about Smith’s health and contract should come out later in the week.
