— I could come up with something clever or unique to start up this column, but I wont. Steve Smith signed with the Eagles. 1 year 4 million, 2 million guaranteed. Smith will now be known as Benedict Arnold to Giants fans, and the Eagles dream team just got the best slot receiver in the game.
— Smiths number 12 has been given to rookie Jerrell Jernigan.
— Giants are having discussions with both T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Jerricho Cotchery
— Osi is getting checked out in Atlanta today — if cleared he will practice on Monday. His agent said there will be no stunts or acts, Osi will be back with the Giants if he can practice. Looks like this soap opera will be cancelled, was looking forward to seeing it on CBS.
— Giants will hold practice today at 1:30 pm. Sun is shining, birds are chirping, and you know quotes will be flying about the departure of Steve Smith.
