A quick recap of GIANTS safety A. Rolle on WFAN today with Mike Francesa while Francesa was at GIANTS camp:

  1. Last years GIANTS season had lots of ups and downs. The playoffs are the ultimate goal and they have a lot of work to do.
  2. The eagles did a good thing for their franchise, but the GIANTS are going to make the eagles earn it.
  3. Believes the secondary can be the strength of the defense and they have a lot of depth.
  4. Once they have an opponent down they need to “keep them out of the game.”
  5. He did not know what to expect when he came to NY. There have been a lot of “ups” with New York– he likes New York.
  6. Says him and Coughlin are “Good” and they have always been “Good.”
  7. Says he knows about the guy in Miami and that he has met him. Rolle did not have too much to  say about what is going on at the “U.” Personal note: It seemed like A. Rolle was dodging the topic
  8. A. Rolle trains in Miami during the off-season and has met the new coach in Miami. The situation in Miami is “not his concern.”
  9.  Believes he has come into camp in better shape this year as compared to previous years. When asked why; A. Rolle said he pushed himself more during his own workouts.
  10. A. Rolle would prefer to spend more time on the field. He understands why the league changed the rules regarding camp, but still wants more time on the field.
  11. A. Rolle expects the GIANTS to give 120% all the time while on the field. The team has plenty of talent to be a good team this year.
