NFL, NFLPA to donate money…

According to ESPN wire services:

NEW YORK — The NFL and the players’ union are donating $1 million to memorials and charities to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The first Sunday of the regular season is Sept. 11, and includes games matching the Dallas Cowboys at the New York Jets and the New York Giants at the Washington Redskins.

September 11, 2011 will be an emotional day for so many individuals on so many levels. This is a nice gesture by the NFL and NFLPA. As September 11 approaches GmenHQ will provide appropriate content regarding the significance of the day and the NFL’s role in honoring those individuals who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
