Even though the Giants were backed up almost to the goal line, the offensive line gave Eli plenty of time for rookie TE Jake Ballard to break a skinny post back inside and make a great catch at the 50 yard line. This play setup a scoring opportunity for the Giants — it didn’t work out that well but I point to this play as something the Giants need to utilize more in their play calls — the Giants defense sees plenty of it as well and apparently it’s nearly impossible to cover.
