while I dont disagree that the fans boo gilbride more than anything else on the team, I truly question the blind hatred. I really do...

I'm the first to admit I used to hate Gilbrides play calling, but since 2009 the Giants have emerged as a true offensive powerhouse -- in large part due to the plan they've altered on offense, the scheme, and the play calling.

You see a lot less draw plays, a lot more back shoulder throws.

You see a lot less, run run pass punt. You see more of a dynamic mix.

You see a lot less Jacobs up the gut for a missed 3rd down pickup, a lot more deception.

....And these are all only true insofar as the giants have established their rythem...

The sloppiness ultimately is a product of the offense being out of rythem, and it looks awful. boo worthy. You question the preparation, you question the talent, you question the play calls.

but...

when the team is IN sync and the Giants have all the rythem in the world - they look like one of the most dynamic and powerful offenses in the league. so if the team struggles in their early goings, you cannot put it all on gilbride.

play calls vs execution, and last week there was PROGRESS over the week 1 showing across the board. I looked for them to take a step forward, and they did.

I have a lot more qualms about the defensive secondary and their cover 2 holes than I do about the Giants offense. The offense will be in fine shape at all the critical positions, the defense currently is in bad shape at several critical positions.
