I think its the same playbook they've been using for years, under Glibride, that is just too easy for Defenses and opposing coordinators to plan for. The defense has suffered with injuries, but whatever alignment they are using against the run is just not working at all. The Coordinators for the Giants should be on the Hotseat. Coughlin is a great coach who doesnt make many mistakes and doesnt miss much. He is as astute as they come and he is management skills are also as good as they come. Gilbride and Fewel need to pick it up big time Im not so sure its coughlin who is the problem. The offensive line is basically new. Will take time to ge the run game going... execution not play calls largely the issue here. a couple calls here and there i dont like, but Eli had 400+ yards and they lost. I would point to the defense letting them score almost at will at critical times, early and late in the game. I think TThomas and JTuck not being in the game hurts the defense, hugely. best run stoppers the Giants have are out. Veterans are banged up, sitting out, its going to take some time to get this team hitting on all cylinders. they can still get hot, beat the division rivals and win the division and make the playoffs this year. they have to finish strong this year. almost finished last game, Cruz slipped on a timing pattern. simple as that. they were in position to go ahead and score to end the game... pick 6 was really unfortunate but that little slip on the 3 yard line cost them. @judithmay.artist I dont think any aspect is uninspired.
