To ERobertsNY

Totally, totally agree!!!!! What really bothers me about Gilbride is his rigidity. He continues to go back to the well again and again on plays that have failed to work in the past. Moreover, the offense is so predictable. Accordingly, 2009'sThanksgiving eve game (vs. Denver), I amazed my son-in-law (who is an occasional football fan) by calling the first 12 offensive plays correctly as to who was going to receive the ball and where it was going; he thought that I was some kind of genius. I told him that if I can guess the plays, what do you think about the opponent defensive coordinators' acumen (who review countless hours of film to predict Giants' offensive patterns)?

Its truly sad and Gilbride needs to go; I have a feeling that we are not making the playoffs this year. John Mara better seriously consider some significant changes if we continue to have the November/December swoon of the previous Coughlin years.

I appreciate it Lyle. The man (Gilbride) simply does not know what to call in crucial situations. He is literally a drive killer. Sure, he can get Eli to throw for over 300 yds, and a few TD's, but a loss on a boneheaded draw play or screen pass erases all of that. Any diehard Giants fan or NFL fan for that matter can see how painstakingly obvious it is that he needs to go or change his offensive philosophy for the rest of the season.

Whoever wrote this article should be hired as the next offensive coordinator of the Giants. Dude, I hold you in very high esteem. I.e., agree with you wholeheartedly. Matter of fact, I left a similar post (as yours) on another blog.
Buddy didn't punch Gilbride hard enough!!!!!
