Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks reportedly is unlikely to play on Sunday night against the Eagles. Nicks is listed as doubtful on the Giants injury report with the foot injury he’s been battling. He’s also now dealing with swelling in his knee according to reports.
Nicks missed last week’s Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers after getting off to a hot start the first two games of the season. He posted 14 catches for 237 yards and a touchdown in the first two weeks.
The Giants will most likely turn to Ramses Barden again to step in for Nicks. Barden put up breakthrough numbers against the Panthers last week and that has to ease the minds of the Giants and their fans somewhat while Nicks is on the mend.
The Giants have also confirmed that tackle David Diehl, linebacker Keith Rivers, and cornerback Jayron Hosley will all miss Sunday’s game as well.
