Giants Injury Report: Nicks Out, Rolle Is Active And Will Play

It’s almost kickoff time in Philadelphia as the Giants and Eagles will do battle tonight on Sunday Night Football.

The Giants will be without wide receiver Hakeem Nicks as I mentioned in an earlier post. Nicks is dealing with swelling in his knee and soreness in his foot. Domenik Hixon (concussion) is back and will play start tonight in place of Nicks. Ramses Barden will rotate in and is expected to see a good amount of playing time.

Inactives for the Giants tonight will also include T David Diehl (knee), CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring), and LB Keith Rivers (hamstring).

Other inactives include DE Adewale Ojomo, TE Adrien Robinson, and G Mitch Petrus

Safety Antrel Rolle is active and will try to play tonight  with a bruised left knee he suffered in a collision with a television cameraman during last week’s win against Carolina. He was listed as questionable heading into today.

The Giants are thin in the secondary as it is, so it’ll be interesting to see how much Rolle can contribute tonight. On the flipside, cornerback Prince Amukamara is scheduled to make his first NFL start. That’s a big plus for the Giants and it’ll be even bigger if Amukamara can turn in a solid performance.
