Giants QB Eli Manning’s jersey sales plummeting

The New York Giants got off to a slow start before making somewhat of a recovery. It didn’t seem to affect the jersey sales of star quarterback Eli Manning.

During the 2013 season, Manning performed well on the Jersey Report, which ranks the sales of jerseys nationwide at DICK’S Sporting Goods stores and online. Manning’s jersey placed in the top ten for all but two weeks of the season.

The Giants are off to another poor start in 2014 after a Week 1 loss, and it looks like fans are done supporting Eli Manning. His jersey has fallen all the way to No. 27 for sales over the last week, though he still remains No. 13 in sales for season to date.

From the Jersey Report, a look at Manning’s season to date sales:

Manning is still getting a lot of his sales from the New York City area though, which is ranked No. 3 on the season for sales. The Big Apple’s preference for teams are the Giants, New York Jets, then Cleveland Browns. There was a little bit of movement of his jersey in the midwest and southern Florida, both kind of unusual.
