It was just one of those games where everything looked to be in sync in the New York Giants‘ 37-27 win over the St. Louis Rams. The Giants took advantage of a weak Rams’ secondary and did whatever they wanted to. Quarterback Eli Manning was nearly perfect as threw for 391 yards, three touchdowns and completed 25 out of 31 passes. Two of his touchdowns were grabbed by rookie phenom Odell Beckham Jr. who is simply on fire.

The rookie overpowered his opponents and posted 148 yards to the stat sheet. This marks Beckham’s third straight 100 yard receiving game and definitely notches him up on the list for Offensive Rookie of the Year. What a way to end his rookie season with earning an honor such as that to finish the year strong.

Overall, the Giants’ offense was on point and never disappointed. They were effective through the air and on the ground as rookie Andre Williams rushed for 110 yards on 26 carries.

Manning and his receiving unit picked away at the Rams’ defense through the entire contest and the Rams couldn’t catch up. As a receiving corps, Giants’ receivers also contributed to the win grabbing eight receptions for 132 yards.

A late hit on the rookie receiver sparked a sideline brawl between both teams, but that seemed not to worry him. In 11 games, Beckham has received 1,120 yards with 11 touchdowns. Despite missing his first four games, he managed to break a couple of team rookie records against the Rams. He set franchise rookie records in touchdowns with 11 and receptions with 79.

Beckham’s performance might not have helped the Giants get in the NFL Playoffs, but it certainly has helped Tom Coughlin‘s position as head coach. Rumors were circulating saying that this might be Coughlin’s last year, but the Giants strong finish at the end of the season thanks to Beckham changes Coughlin’s situation.

The Giants’ defense looked to be a little shaky closing out the game, but the offense put the Rams in a deep hole early they couldn’t climb out of. His performances have been pivotal for the Giants this season and has been the main source for touchdowns during this three game winning streak.

Overall, many claim that Beckham’s performance this season might even lock in some MVP votes and the Offensive Rookie of the Year trophy looks to be in his hands. The Giants truly discovered a star in the making that will only get better over time.
