Poll: What Was The Worst New York Giants Loss This Season?

facebooktwitterreddit

In the NFL, there is no such thing as a bad loss. There are however bad losses. When you lose a game that could have easily be won, that is a bad loss. The New York Giants have 9 losses this season. Which losing effort made you cringe the most? Which loss is the most inexcusable? Which game was the Giants worst this season?

October 12, 2014 was the scene of the crime as the Philadelphia Eagles killed the Giants 27-0. The game had a far greater cost than another notch in the L column because Victor Cruz suffered a season ending injury. Nothing went right for the Giants that day. The offense was inept and the defense was helpless.

This was quite possibly the worst performance for the Giants offensive line, who gave up 8 sacks. This is when the Giants were 3-3 and we did not know that the season would be completely miserable. This one is clearly a candidate for the worst loss of the season; there is no doubt that this was the beginning of the season’s end.

The Giants were swept by their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys would go on to win the NFC East but they got two tough tests against the Giants. The Cowboys won the first game 31-21. The Giants beat themselves. The Giants were outscored 17-7 in the second half.

In the second game against Dallas, the Giants got off to a great start. At halftime the GMEN led 21-10. They lost the game 31-28.

The Jacksonville Jaguars game still resonates as a blown opportunity to get a win. The Giants got off to a 21-0 lead only to lose 25-24. The Giants beat themselves in that contest. Three costly fumbles and 4 sacks fueled the Jaguars miraculous comeback. The Giants offense completely and utterly disappeared. The whole team had a bad second half which is evidenced by being outscored 22-3 in the second half.

I have given you the four worst losses as I see them. We want to hear from you though! Please feel free to vote and share in some of the heartache the Giants have caused many this past season!
