Poll: Will New York Giants Be Better Than Dallas Cowboys In 2015?

The Dallas Cowboys were a controversial play away from the NFC Championship Game in 2014. The Giants didn’t make the playoffs in 2014. But the past is the past and it is time to move on to another exciting year of Giants football. With a strong draft class and some key free agency signings, the Giants will certainly be an improved team.

The Cowboys have what many consider to be the best offensive line in football. They have a top flight arsenal of weapons in the passing game including the explosive Dez Bryant and the model of consistency, Jason Witten. Tony Romo proved to be a stud when he has the help around him. Defensively the team has some star players. The additions of Randy Gregory and more importantly of Byron Jones will help their pass rush and their secondary respectively.

The Giants have some flashy offensive weapons too. Eli Manning gets to throw the football to the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle and Larry Donnell. With an improved offensive line, the health of Rashad Jennings and the addition of Shane Vereen, the Giants should get more out of the rushing attack.

The Giants were swept by the Cowboys in the 2014 season but they gave them a run for their money both times. They lost 31-21 in their first contest to the Cowboys. In their week 12 nail bitter the Giants fell 31-28. In both games Manning threw for three touchdown passes. The Giants defense couldn’t come up with key stops.

Injuries played a huge role in the Giants struggles last year, especially on the offensive line. With offensive guard, Geoff Schwartz coming back to the starting lineup and the addition of Ereck Flowers (presumably at right tackle) the Giants offensive line should be much stronger. If Cruz can come back strong he will be part of the best receiving duo in football. The injury to linebacker, Jon Beason also devastated the defense.
