I’m going to talk to the parties involved. As I understand it, there were some parts that were inappropriate, and anything that occurs within this family or within our group should not be a part of any social media aspect. I’m going to address that strongly, and I’ve spent a little time on that this preseason, but I’ll look into it further.

The video was originally posted by punter Steve Weatherford, who has since issued an apology via twitter. As for the video itself, it’s hard to tell whether the two players had an actual issue with one another, or whether it was just an innocent example of a couple young players horsing around. Pierre-Paul seems pretty pleased with himself at the end, smiling and high-fiving teammates while Amukamara appears much less enthused.

Overall, this seems to be a lot of smoke without much fire. Even if JPP and Prince do have a problem, nobody ever said that everyone on the team has to like one another for them to be successful. The most significant thing about the video is that it’s pretty funny, so I encourage you to take a look (warning: graphic language).

The show will be called “The Blue and Green Review” and will center on the New York Football Scene.  My co-host will be Kristine Reese who writes and follows the New York Jets.  The plan is to have guests from opposing teams, either blog writers or media types, each week to discuss match-ups and what to look for in the upcoming game of the week.  We will talk fantasy football, have a survivor pool, and will feature a very special guest we call our “Resident Wiseguy” to pick the games of the week.

Key snippet on the frustration out of the backfield right now for the Giants:

Q: Has Ahmad Bradshaw expressed to you frustration that the running game hasn’t gotten untracked?
A: No. I am hoping that Ahmad would take whatever energy and pump it into his teammates because he is very energetic.

Q: Are the running backs hitting the holes?
A: There is an occasional drift when the ball should be taken where it was originally intended. Even though you may be seeing different colors, there is not much to be made going outside. East and West is normally not the answer.

Q: Is there anything more that can be done outside of rest for Jacobs?
A: As far as I know, nothing more has been indicated right now.

Quite a finish to a game that honestly could have gone either way. Glad the Giants ended things on a high note.

Here’s a tidbit from the video:

Q: After a slow start is it easy to get on an even keel and know that you are going to get into rhythm?

A: You just know as the quarterback you’re still finding out what’s your best personnel, what’s the best thing that’s going to work for us, what is going to be our best way of finding completions. Sometimes it just takes a little longer or you have to work at it, building confidence and guys getting more experience and game-time experience, understanding what it takes to get open. It’s different. It’s different once you get into games than practice. We have young guys and new guys doing it, but I think they’re making improvements. We’re getting better as an offense every week. That’s got to be our goal.

Q: Has Eli picked it up in recent weeks after what seemed like a slow start?

A: I don’t know if I would use the word ‘slow’ but I would say that there was some caution before based on the new figures and people around him and how they would react to what he thought they would do and what they did. That takes time. That’s why you have to have an offseason.

Q: You have emphasized not taking chances and turning the ball over, how do you explain the second touchdown to Victor Cruz?

A: Trusting the receiver. I was the first guy cheering.

Q: How has the offensive line progressed?

A: Communication, continuity, and reaction time. I would say that it is the overall feeling that people do understand the schemes and what we are trying to do no matter how quickly they have to make adjustments. That is where the progress is.

Q: How do you plan to use Prince when he returns:

A: We have to put him on the field and figure out what he can do.
