Really bad news for Giants fans and fantasy football players today. PFT is reporting that starting RB Ahmad Bradshaw is going to be out indefinitely after suffering a cracked bone in his foot that happened during Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

The Giants will probably look to Brandon Jacobs to carry the workload against the Patriots. So, not only does Jacobs have his fast-ass car to look forward to this week, he’s also got a starting job.

UPDATE

Okay, word about Bradshaw’s status has changed from this earlier post. Things are unclear as of now but there’s a small chance Bradshaw may play this week. This comes from Adam Schefter’s Twitter feed:

Person familar with Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw’s injury texted this: “Not serious injury – should play Sunday. No surgery (needed).”

We’ll update you as we get more news.

UPDATE #2

Ralph Vacchiano tweeted the following:

RB Ahmad Bradshaw has decided, at least for now, not to have surgery, according to a source. His status for Sunday is still unknown.
