Enter training camp…It’s still not clear, to what extent, the severity of Thomas’ injury is. However, news from camp is painting a pretty unfortunate picture. The consensus is yet another tear to his anterior cruciate ligament, the same ACL as last year. It seems that he injured it during some drills while covering, ironically, Giants wide-out Domenik Hixon (Hixon is coming off back to back ACL tears). Tom Coughlin didn’t sound like he knew when the injury occurred.

As if rehabbing from one ACL injury isn’t enough, this actually is the third time Thomas has had damage to his knee. He also tore ligaments when he was still playing in college at USC.

Thomas is slated to be in California for the next couple days, having some “investigative” tests done to determine the extent of the injury.

Whether a Giants fan or not you cant help but feel for a guy, who was entering the prime of his career, with pro-bowl expectations, who was dealt this kind of blow. With not many players, if any, able to come back from 3 similar type surgeries, you have to be pulling for T2 to be the first.
