But the Giants’ commitment to early melanoma detection goes deeper than just the players—they’re also teaming up with Melanoma Exposed™ to bring a second free skin cancer screening event to their fans on August 29th before the preseason rematch against New England.

New York is estimated to have the third highest number of new cases of melanoma of any state. The national awareness campaign Melanoma Exposed is designed to educate Americans about melanoma and its risk factors, and to encourage people to take a more active role in their skin health. To date the campaign has screened more than 1,000 individuals at professional football stadiums across the country; back in May, over 400 free skin cancer screenings were performed during the Giant’s 5K Run of Champions and several potential melanomas were identified.
