For at least one more year the Pro Bowl will remain in Hawaii. There have been many discussions as to where, when, and if to hold the annual NFL All-Star game. The NFL seems intent on making it a “Real” football game with defenses playing full out, and offenses not just throwing it all over the field. All Star games are rarely like “Real” games. The NHL’s game usually winds up with a score of 15-14, the NBA has one that ends 150-145, and MLB has made theirs count for something, but it is usually missing the best pitchers in the game due to rules that doesn’t allow them to pitch if they appeared in a game on the Sunday before.

The game was fun this year, with break out performances by some wide-outs and some spectacular scoring plays. I don’t think the NFL can make the game competitive without risking serious injury to it’s stars, and with the two Super Bowl teams not sending players, it’s missing some of the greats of the game anyway.

Keep it in Hawaii…..Reward the players……forget about ratings for one day of the year, and stop trying to make it something it isn’t.

They were without their leading receiver. Their starting running back, full back and center all missed the game due to injury. Their 1st pick overall in the 2011 NFL Draft made the trip, but did not play.

Of the six categories (ten positions within each slot), not one…NOT ONE single member of the New York Giants earned themselves a slot in the NFL Weekly leader board. They were shutdown for the entire first half. Just how did Big Blue pull off their biggest upset of the season? We’ve got answers. Join me on this incredibly inspiring fact finding recap.

Yes, the NFL season is not even half way over yet but the NFL has released the official Pro-Bowl ballot. You can view it by clicking here.

Personally, I think the Pro Bowl should be an Honor that is determined by having the players vote and count that for 1/2 the vote, and then have the media vote for 1/5, hall-of-fame players 1/5, coaches 1/5, fans 1/5, and NFL officials 1/5. After it is determined who makes the team you then honor them at each team’s last home game. Finally, you have a nice reception on the Saturday before the super bowl. Invite all the pro bowl players, open it up to fans, do autographs, and all that jazz. SCREW THE GAME!

Anyways now that I’m done ranting—make sure you vote for your favorite NY GIANTS to make the Pro Bowl.

It has been a week since the destruction of the wanna-be dynasty the New England Patriots were trying to create. Winning the Super Bowl three of four years and then not winning one of the next three officially ends your bid at a dynasty in my book.

The Pro Bowl was pretty uninteresting yesterday. With one member of the Giants playing, how much of a Pro Bowl was it?

Tony Romo got to play, so I am sure the Dallas fans are happy he got to play in some type of Bowl this season, and T.O. was there as well. But, then again there were 83 players from Dallas in the game, and I am pretty sure members of their front office, locker room attendants, two of their waterboys, and one of Texas Stadium’s video replay officials were also member of the NFC Pro Bowl team.

Other than Peyton Manning throwing bombs and scoring 17 points in one quarter and Adrian Peterson making the AFC defenders wonder why they agreed to play in the game, the all-star festival was eventful, except for the fact that the NFC might once again be better than the AFC.

If you win the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl in the same season, I would have to say you are the dominant conference. So, here is to the best conference in football: The NFC.

With the season over, the blog will take a different approach this off-season as I plan on having some interviews and discussions posted with Giants beat writers and other bloggers from the Big Blue.
