New York Giants Report Card: B-

As we continue down our list, we hit our New York Giants. The GMen need a spectacular off-season to get back in the play-off picture and as of right now; they’re on the right track.

Their biggest signing as of now is Shane Vereen. The solid running back filled in a big hole at the back end that helps out quarterback Eli Manning, to give him another receiving threat on offense which was lacking last season.

They’ve added some speed to the special teams with Harris from Dallas and Casillas from New England who is believed to be a special teams “specialist.” The downfall of the Giants’ free agency is the loss of Rolle and cornerback Walter ThurmondLosing Rolle comes as a shock to New York as he was the leader on defense and was willing to stay.

They’ve brought in outside linebacker J.T Thomas for some depth in that unit. They have to turn their focus at the safety position and also their list of unsigned players.  The Giants also used up their franchise tag on defensive end Jason Pierre-Paulwhich was necessary.

The Giants have done good so far in free agency, but they need to continue the momentum. They still have some voids to fill and they could do it with their remaining salary; if they’re wise.
