Week 4 @ Buffalo Bills

The Giants face the Bills in week four to end the first quarter of the season. The Bills have a really talented team, the question is do they have a quarterback they can win with? E.J. Manuel and Matt Cassel will battle for the reigns of the offense in the heat of training camp. Manuel has talent, and athletic ability, but for the second year in a row, the Bills brought in a journeyman veteran as an insurance policy. Last year it was Kyle Orton, this year the offense may call upon Cassel.

The Bills will lean heavily on their offensive playmakers. LeSean McCoy is a dazzling star that Giants fans are all too familiar with. Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Percy Harvin are talented weapons. The one thing this offense has a surplus of is speed. With good offensive line play and Rex Ryan’s ground and pound style the Bills will be a formidable opponent.

Defense is the strongest unit of the Bills. Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams are two big and strong run stuffing 3-4 defensive ends. Jerry Hughes and Mario Williams are talented pass rushers. The Giants will have their hands full with one of the most talented front seven units in all of football.

The outcome of this game ultimately boils down to quarterback play where the Giants clearly have the advantage. It is imperative that the Giants protect Manning in this game. If the Bills pass rush prevails, and the run game is stagnant, this game could be ugly for the Giants. After this game we will know if the offensive line is truly repaired.
