3. Landon Collins Is Projected To Be A Super Star

Everyone and their mother knew that Landon Collins was the best safety in the 2015 NFL draft. Collins is projected by almost every analyst to be one of the star rookies of the year. Collins has the shoes of Antrel Rolle to fill and that’s no small task. Rolle was a leader on the Giants defense through the bad and the good.

There have been multiple reports that Collins has been assuming leadership of the defense even as a rookie. Players are going to need someone to look up to while learning Steve Spagnuolo’s new defense. Collins has to be the spark that fires up the defense on game day, just like Michael Strahan and Rolle once did.

Most of the experts think that Collins will fit in perfectly with the Giants. He was already selected to be on NFL.com’s All-NFC East Team. It says a lot that an NFL analyst didn’t even see Collins play professionally yet and put him on this team stand-out players.

The Giants did something very rare and moved up in the second round of the draft in order to obtain Collins. For him to be a bust after all this hype would be a huge blemish on Reese’s record. So far we haven’t seen much from the Alabama standout, but I’m sure Coughlin will figure out how to use him properly.
