2. The Offensive Line Is Still Unstable

Something has got to give with the Giants’ offensive line. There are so many combinations that you could make up for the line it can make your head hurt. Ever since Will Beatty got injured this became a huge problem for the Giants. It seems the injury plague they had last season carried over to 2015.

Starting Ereck Flowers on the blind side is a bad idea, but it is the only idea. The Giants can’t put anyone else at left tackle. It’s too risky for Manning’s health. The last thing they want is to experiment with that position and get Manning hurt. Flowers was drafted to be their left tackle eventually so what better time than now.

What the Giants should really do is make a trade or sign a free agent. They brought in Jake Long, but ended up letting him walk. That makes total sense in my head because of his injury prone history. Singing him is like giving away money. The Giants should really look into singing Evan Mathis to give their offensive line more versatility.

The Giants most likely wouldn’t trade at this point in the year, but you can’t rule anything out in the NFL. They aren’t the kind of  team known to make a move that will blind side you. There’s no special offensive lineman on the trading block so don’t expect a trade anytime soon.
