Christian McCaffrey is widely regarded as having some of the best hands in the 2017 NFL Draft. That’s not limited to running backs, but instead ranks him amongst the top wide receivers and tight ends in this draft class.

By adding McCaffrey to the offense, the New York Giants would add a fourth dynamic playmaker to a corps that already includes Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard.

Over the course of three seasons with the Stanford Cardinal, McCaffrey pulled in 99 receptions, including 82 between his sophomore and junior seasons. With the ball in his hands, he picked up 1,206 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Beyond the numbers, McCaffrey is sure-handed and capable of lining up in the backfield, the slot, and, on occasion, outside.

McCaffrey’s route-running is crisp and precise, which is a strength that breeds tremendous versatility on offense. Coupled with his reliable hands, McCaffrey can be a game-breaking playmaker who diversifies Ben McAdoo’s offense.

Whether or not you believe he can be a three-down player at running back, McCaffrey is the type of versatile playmaker who can line up in multiple spots.
