1. 2-0 Against The GOAT

No outsider has benefited more from Tom Brady earning greatest of all-time status than Eli Manning. Some may still be arguing in Joe Montana’s favor, but regardless of whom you peg as the best of all-time, Brady is undeniably in the conversation.

In terms of what’s transpired on the field, the primary blemish on Brady’s resume is that one man is 2-0 against him in the Super Bowl: Eli Manning.

No matter what else is said, Manning is the only quarterback who has gone head-to-head with Brady in the Super Bowl and won. Not only is that true, but Manning has done it on two separate occasions, thus bringing validity to this strength.

With a 2-0 record in the Super Bowl against arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history, Manning’s two titles skyrocket in importance.

During his first Super Bowl run, Manning went through Tony Romo, Brett Favre, and Brady. During his second run, he defeated three MVPs—Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Brady—and a San Francisco 49ers team that went 13-3 during the regular season.

Manning hasn’t done much in the postseason beyond the two Super Bowl runs, but they’re of such a historic nature that they outweigh the bad.
