The New York Giants are highly unlikely to use the No. 2 overall pick on a linebacker, but that doesn’t mean Evans won’t be on Big Blue’s draft board.

Two of New York’s defensive starters, Landon Collins and Dalvin Tomlison, came from Nick Saban’s football factory, and Evans is expected to be the next great linebacker out of Tuscaloosa.

The 6-foot-3, 234-pound prospect has played both inside and outside linebacker and is looking to lead the Tide to a second National Championship in three seasons. Despite missing some time with a groin injury, Evans has recorded a career-high 66 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble.

Kiper has Evans listed as the 21st overall prospect in this year’s draft class, but it’s not impossible to think he could slide to the second-round. McShay had the Eagles taking the Alabama linebacker with the last pick in the first-round of his mock draft.
