Adding Barkley and Hernandez in the first two rounds gives New York two immediate impact players that can help right away in 2018. But the G-Men will still have holes that need to be filled and can use the draft to plan for the future.

Solder at left tackle and Flowers at right tackle likely would solve some of New York’s offensive line issues over the next couple seasons, but adding a player like Desmond Harrison, Chukwuma Okorafor, Tyrell Crosby, Martinas Rankin, or Alex Cappa in the middle rounds could give Big Blue depth and an eventual succession plan.

The Giants should also look to add a pass rusher or two in the middle to late rounds. Or could possibly take a defensive back or two in the middle to late rounds, depending on their signings in free agency.

Uchenna Nwosu, Lorenzo Carter, and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo are some potential mid-round pass rushers that could fit in Bettcher’s defensive scheme.

Kameron Kelly, Holton Hill, M.J. Stewart, and Darrius Phillips are some notable cornerbacks to keep an eye on in the middle to late rounds. The Giants may also decide to add a defensive end that’s more suited for Bettcher’s 3-4 front and could look to take a player like B.J. Hill or Da’Shawn Hand on the second or third day of the draft.

All of the prospects listed above have the potential to be available from the third-round on, giving New York some rookies that can make an impact but also develop into eventual starters.
