Ex-NY Giants WR Odell Beckham suffered what the Cleveland Browns fear is a ‘major’ knee injury in a win over the Bengals in Week 7 of the NFL season

Former NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was knocked from Sunday’s Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals game with what the organization fears is a “major” knee injury.

Beckham will undergo an MRI Monday to determine the severity of the injury, but regardless of how much time he misses, it will not be the first significant injury of his career.

In 2017, Beckham’s season began with a high-ankle sprain suffered in the preseason against the Browns, and later fractured the same ankle in Week 5, which ended his season. Beckham’s season was also cut short by a quad injury in 2018 that cost him the final four games.

The Giants traded Beckham to the Browns last March, in a blockbuster deal along with outside linebacker Olivier Vernon in exchange for safety Jabrill Peppers, right guard Kevin Zeitler, and a 2019 first-round pick that became defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.

Prior to Sunday, Beckham caught 23 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns, for the Cleveland Browns, who moved to 5-2 with a win over the Bengals.
