How can the team improve through the draft?
While this isn’t a stacked EDGE and pass-rushing draft class, there are many intriguing players playing off the EDGE and off-ball linebackers. The NY Giants must add more depth and talent to the group.
Two names headlines this year’s class of players that play on the EDGE and/or off-ball linebackers. Gregory Rousseau. The reigning 1st Team All-ACC and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year is a pass-rushing phenom. He was so dominant in 2019, he was comfortable enough with using that as his last season of college and opting out of the 2020 season. Micah Parsons followed Rousseau’s path and sat out the 2020 season. The 2019 Consensus All-American, First Team All-Big 10, and the Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP was a dominant force during his time at Penn State. His versatility and ability to dominate all over the front seven will make NFL teams drool and foam at the mouth.
Other big names at the position include Dylan Moses, Patrick Jones II, Quincy Roche, amongst more names that will inevitably shoot up draft boards.
