Years: 1955-1966

Legacy: NFL Champion (1956); Five-time Pro Bowl (1958-1962; Five-time First-team All-Pro (1958-1962)

One of the forgotten NY Giants – Jimmy Patton deserves to be recognized as one of the franchises greatest.

Patton thrived in New York. The defensive back was one of the best players for one of the greatest units in the game – a champion and a perennial All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection.

"Former Giants’ coach, Allie Sherman, had the luxury of coaching Patton. Speaking on his player, he said, “He had the three qualities you find in the best players – consistency, top performance and great heart.”"

While the Giants’ great was forgotten by Hall of Fame voters and many NFL historians, Giants’ fans should always remember Patton’s legacy.
