3 keys for the NY Giants to win this weeks matchup against the Dallas Cowboys
Number 2: A step up from the pass rush
The Giants pass rush has had a bit of a slow start to the season. Being 31st in total sacks with 6, 29th in total QB pressures with 30, and 29th in QB knockdowns with 8, the Giants pass rush needs to step up in a big way this game if we want to have a chance to win.
The Cowboys offensive line has looked elite this year, being 31st in pressures allowed with only 23, 27th in total sacks allowed with 7, and 30th in QB hurries with 6.
With the Cowboys line being this great the Giants pass rush needs to have a big game is we want a chance to stop their offense.
With Leonard Williams only gaining one sack on the entire year he needs to wake up and realize he is not performing to his contract.
Leonard Williams has not looked nearly as good as he did last year. in 82% of snaps this year he has garnered 8 solo tackles, 12 assists, and only 1 sack. Not the best for a man that’s making $19M a year.
A player we can expect to perform at a high level is Azeez Ojulari. If the Giants can bring his snap count up while making him rush the QB he should be primed for a big game.
He has only been playing in 55% of snaps this season. Which is reasonable considering he isn’t the best in coverage.
With the Giants needing an upgrade in the pass rush he simply needs to play more.
