DE Oshane Ximines (3.31, 2019)

A full year removed from the trade of Jason Pierre-Paul, the Giants were still in search of rock-solid edge rushers. Having selected Lorenzo Carter in the 3rd round of the previous draft, Gettleman doubled down on 3rd round pass rushers with the pick of Oshane Ximines out of Old Dominion.

In his rookie year, Ximines played all 16 games, recording 4.5 sacks and five tackles for loss as a second string edge rusher. Sadly, the injury bug hit Ximines in his second year, as he appeared in just four games and failed to record a sack.

Healthy again this season, he’s been a disappointment like Carter. In six games, Ximines again has zero sacks and just one QB hit. In a year where the Giants are starving for a pass rush, Ximines is one of many who aren’t ringing the bell.

Not too long after Ximines was picked, the Raiders selected DE Maxx Crosby (4.4), who has been one of the better pass rushers in the league over the last few seasons with 22 sacks in 38 games, all without missing any time.

Other potential picks: TE Dawson Knox (3.32), RB Alexander Mattison (3.38)
