At rookie minicamp for the NY Giants, all eyes were understandably on first-round picks Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux. However, one player who really stood out on and off the field was no question second-rounder Wan’Dale Robinson. The speedster sure looked electric and he’s ready to put up some big numbers for head coach Brian Daboll this campaign.

What has made Robinson’s arrival to East Rutherford even more outstanding is that he really is a humble dude. He has joined the Giants with a blue-collar mentality and it doesn’t look like that mindset is going to change now that he’s in the NFL. If anything, NY fans will be jacked up knowing that Robinson is ready to do whatever is needed to help out his new team in 2022.

Robinson really is a special talent, as he’s a dynamic offensive weapon. While he’s known for his wheels as a receiver, he also played some running back in college. He can run the ball and catch passes with the best of them. Because of his versatility, New York could use him for several different packages starting this fall.

“Whatever they want me to do, whether that be run the ball, catch the ball, catch a bunch of screens, sweeps, whatever they ask me to do, I’ll be able to do it,” Robinson said via 247Sports. That’s just what I want to do.”

That quote tells you that Robinson won’t blink if head coach Brian Daboll asks him to switch things up in terms of his role with the offensive unit. Often times, you see players throw a fit when they have to make some changes like this. We’ve seen guys demand trades in the past, which is never a great look.

That’s not the case with Robinson. He’s got the fire in his belly to be great for the Giants and it doesn’t matter where they put him. At minicamp, Robinson was also turning heads on special teams as a returner. With his amazing speed, it’s no surprise he’s getting looks there as well. Last season for Kentucky, Robinson posted 104 receptions for 1,334 yards and seven touchdowns.

His big year helped lead to the Giants using a second-rounder on him. Countless people called out New York for ‘reaching’ on Robinson in the second round, but Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen are adamant they love this kid’s abilities. Come Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, it will be time for Robinson to show everyone what he’s made of.
