1. NY Giants can’t trade away Darius Slayton

With all the setbacks injury wise for the wideouts, we’ve finally seen Darius Slayton step his game up a little bit. The Week 7 touchdown against the Jaguars was a thing of beauty, as Jones fired a perfect deep ball and Slayton was able to make an acrobatic grab for the big-time score. Now the Giants want to trade him?

Hopefully not. According to FOX Sports Ralph Vacchiano’s sources, the G-Men ‘can expect’ calls from teams around the league for a potential Slayton trade. During the offseason, this would have been a move that fans would have loved to see, as Slayton had fallen way down the depth chart and no one had forgetten about all of his drops in the past.

Fast forward to present time, and Slayton is the most experienced WR able to stay on the field to make plays for Jones. With his speed, he’s a quality downfield threat for the Giants, which we all saw against Jacksonville. Jones and Brian Daboll are going to need Slayton to keep performing if they want to keep recording close wins the rest of the way. NY can’t trade Slayton right now. They need to bring in more WR talent, not get rid of it.
