Entering Week 12, the NY Giants hold a record of 7-3, looking to capitalize on the success they’ve had this season. Despite the impressive record, they have still been held back by certain players who have been rather disappointing.
While for the most part the majority of players on the Giants have had a great season, certain members of the team have stunk it up. No one thought this would be the case.
There is still a chance to turn things around, but these players have not played their part in the team’s success. With that being said, here are four NY Giants players who have disappointed the most through 10 games.
4. CB Darnay Holmes
Following a very solid season last year, it seemed as if Darnay Holmes was ready to take the next step and potentially play the role as the second corner behind Adoree’ Jackson. However, heading into Thursday’s game with Dallas, this has been the opposite of the case.
Holmes wasn’t anything spectacular in 2021, however, he really stepped up towards the second half of the season when the team needed someone to. It is a good thing that Joe Schoen made the genius move of signing Fabian Moreau, or else this secondary would look a lot worse.
Considering the injury that Aaron Robinson sustained, the Giants have needed Holmes to play a critical role as the third/fourth corner on the defense, while he has been rather solid, the Giants really needed more out of Holmes earlier in the season.
On the season, Holmes has four games in which he has allowed 45+ yards and five games in which he has allowed a completion percentage of 60% or higher. Holmes may not be a detriment this season, but we think there are no doubts that he has definitely been disappointing. With Adoree’ Jackson spraining his MCL, Holmes will really be needed to step his gameu p.

3. OL Jon Feliciano/Mark Glowinski
After signing with the Giants on a one-year, $3.25 million deal this offseason, it seemed as if the NY Giants had their answer at the center position following Nick Gates horrific injury. While Jon Feliciano wasn’t anything outstanding during his time in Buffalo, he was still a very solid player.
This season, however, he has been arguably the worst offensive lineman on the Giants this season. He struggled mightily against the Lions in Week 11 and fans grew more and more frustrated with his play.
Feliciano has not been the player the Giants have needed him to be, causing some fans to wish for him to be benched for the newly healthy Gates. We saw Gates take over at center in Week 11. Let’s hope Gates keeps on rocking moving forward.
As for Mark Glowinski, it has also been an extremely rough season for him as well. While he is certainly better than what the NY Giants had last season, his play thus far has not been worth of the three-year, $20 million contract Big Blue gave him.
These two offensive linemen have been rather disappointing this season, hopefully they can pick things up towards the later half of the year, as the Giants face some very tough opponents. This o-line was supposed to be way better than last year, but they’re still giving NY supporters headaches.

2. LB Tae Crowder
It seems as if Tae Crowder’s time as a Giant could be coming to an end soon. His defensive snaps continue to go down, which is what people have been calling for. Straight up, he’s just not getting the job done.
While he may rack up a ton of tackles, this doesn’t tell the whole story, as Crowder’s reaction time, and ability to make a read against the run are pretty terrible. In addition to this, Crowder is one of, if not the worst, linebackers in all of football in terms of his abilities in coverage.
According to PFF, Crowder has an overall player grade of 29.7, which is second worst in the entire NFL. Crowder may have had a big hit on Derrick Henry early on in the season, and a very nice game against Chicago in Week 4, but outside of that he has pretty much been useless.
Most Giants fans have grown tired of watching Crowder play over the last couple of seasons and it seems as if the coaching staff is feeling the same way. We’ve been seeing a lot more of Micah McFadden, which no one will complain about.
Considering that Crowder only has one year left on his contract, the NY Giants may move on from the 25-year-old linebacker this offseason. For now, we can only hope that McFadden continues to succeed in replacement of Crowder.

1. WR Kenny Golladay
What else is there to even say at this point? No matter how many opportunities he is given, Kenny Golladay has yet to make a meaningful impact during his short tenure with the NY Giants and fans are sick and tired of it.
After signing with the Giants on a hefty four-year, $72 million contract prior to last season, it seemed as if the team had their first star receiver since they traded Odell Beckham Jr. away. However, not only has Golladay not lived up to his expectations, but he has also been one of the worst receivers in all of football in 2022.
Through five games played this season, Golladay only has four catches to his name. That’s right, a player who is getting paid roughly $18 million this season has four catches in six games. It is truly mind-boggling just how bad Golladay has been this year.
Golladay has been an embarrassment to watch this season, a true testament to former GM Dave Gettleman’s ability to seek out talent. There’s no way he’s back in the fall of 2023 for this team.

4 NY Giants who let Brian Daboll down in the loss to Detroit
In easily the team's worst game of the season, the Giants were defeated 31-18 by the Detroit Lions, making for a disgusting game to watch.
