3. Stud – S Julian Love

Since the start of the season, safety Julian Love has risen to the occasion. In Week 12, when the Giants needed him most, he put on arguably his best showing of the fall.

The Giants secondary is currently dealing with several major injuries. Star safety Xavier McKinney is currently sidelined with a hand injury, while Giants CB1 Adoree’ Jackson was out with a sprained MCL. The Giants secondary needed a veteran presence, and Love was just that. Love finished the day with 10 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one defended pass, and one interception.

While the Giants walked away with a loss, the defense allowed just 261 yards through the air. They also intercepted Dak Prescott twice. If Love wasn’t on the field, things could have gone much worse than they did.

Through 11 games, Love has put on the best campaign of his young career. He has recorded 83 total tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, four defended passes, and two interceptions. On several occasions, he has proven just how important he is to this Giants defense. Even in this loss, he did so once again.
