The New York Giants can clinch a playoff berth with a win this week over the Indianapolis Colts,

That’s not what many expected coming into the year, but you know what else nobody expected? Jeff Saturday to be coaching Nick Foles as the starting quarterback of the 4-10-1 Colts.

While BetSided’s Iain MacMillan has some concerns about betting the Giants this week, I’ve put together three of my favorite prop bets for this Week 17 matchup on New Year’s Day.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Colts vs. Giants

  • 1st Half UNDER 19.5 (-115)
  • Nick Foles UNDER 204.5 Pass Yards (-110)
  • Zack Moss OVER 60.5 Rush Yards (-110)

1st Half UNDER 19.5 (-115)

The Colts have actually played a little defense in the first half of games, with the bulk of their defeats coming from being blown out in the second half. The Colts also have the worst first half offense in the NFL, 7.8 points per game in the first half and New York isn’t much better.

The Giants have been a second half team all season. In the first half of games they’re averaging 8.5 points, 26th worst in football. Give me the under on 19.5 to kick off today’s matchup.

Nick Foles UNDER 204.5 Pass Yards (-110)

The Nick Foles experience was not a good one last week. He didn’t look anywhere near the same guy that carried the Eagles to the Super Bowl over Tom Brady in 2018. Now several years later, he looked old and washed, which is insane because somehow he’s still only 33 years old.

Foles threw three interceptions and just 143 yards on Monday Night Football. The Colts’ offensive line is a weakness of this team and the Giants blitz on over 40% of their defensive snaps; ultimately not a good recipe for Indy’s offense.

Zack Moss Over 60.5 Rush Yards (-110)

For as much as the Giants like to blitz, they like to do it to heat up the quarterback, not to stop the run. Wink Martindale’s defense has let plenty of teams run all over them, allowing a league-worst 5.4 yards per carry.

Zack Moss is the lead back in Indy with Jonathan Taylor out, so he should have a good day, I’m not sure about anyone else with a horseshoe on their helmet.
