3. Daniel Jones will put on a show… again

Daniel Jones is dealing this season, and he is not getting nearly enough credit for that.  Jones has set career highs in completions, passing yards, average yards per pass completion, passer rating, QBR, rushing attempts, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, games played, and fourth quarter comebacks. He will also very likely set a career high in passing attempts while posting the fewest interceptions and fumbles of his careers.

His numbers are not eye-popping, but he is having a spectacular season. Last week was the perfect indication of just how good Jones has been. Jones went 30 of 42 for 334 yards and one touchdown in the Giants heartbreaking loss, but played his tail off.

Jones is getting more than imaginable out of his surrounding offensive players. His receiving core is currently comprised of journeyman drop machine Richie James, Darius Slayton, who was nearly cut in training camp, and Isaiah Hodgins, who was claimed off the Bills practice squad in November.

Jones made all three look like quality NFL receivers a week ago, as James caught 8 balls for 90 yards, Hodgins caught 8 yards for 89 yards, and Slayton caught 4 balls for 79 yards. Jones was able to use that group to keep up with a Vikings team that deploys Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockenson, Adam Thielen, and Dalvin Cook, arguably the league’s best skill group. The Colts talent is on par with the Giants, but Danny Dimes is dealing right now. He will fly the Giants past the Colts.
