Boom! The NY Giants had been in a rut on offense and things were looking rough to start going up against the Washington Commanders. Then on 3rd-and-a-mile, everyone figured the Giants would be forced to trot Graham Gano out for a field goal attempt.

However, Tyrod Taylor and Darren Waller had other ideas. Taylor tossed a perfect pass for his tight end to come down with and in the blink of an eye, Waller not only had his first touchdown of the year, but it was of course his first score with the G-Men. You think Brian Daboll loved seeing it? Take a look for yourself:

Aviators on with a massive smile on his face? Yup, Daboll was over the moon with Waller finding the end zone on that play. Keep in mind that the Giants hadn't scored a touchdown on offense since the Week 3 loss to the 49ers.

Finally, though, the Giants O was able to put some points on the board. Again, things did not look good on offense to open the game, with fans even booing the players after a three-and-out on the first drive.

After Gano missed a field goal too on Sunday at MetLife, people were almost left speechless with how rocky things were going. However, the Waller TD was a massive breath of fresh air and the fans in the stands erupted in celebration. Can you blame them for being so happy? Absolutely not.

Waller hasn't fully lived up to the hype for the Giants this season, but that first Big Blue score should give him plenty of confidence moving forward. The Giants haven't had much to celebrate this fall, but you could see just how much that play meant to both Waller and Daboll.
