The blocked field goal returned for a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys continues to be the worst thing that has happened to the NY Giants this season. On that play, All-Pro left tackle Andrew Thomas injured his hamstring and he's missed the past three games because of it.

After giving up 11 sacks to the Seattle Seahawks, the Big Blue offensive line desperately needs to bounce back this weekend against the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, it looks like the group will have to do so without Thomas leading them.

On Wednesday morning, Daboll was asked about Thomas' status leading up to Week 5. In another gut punch for the Giants fanbase, Coach Dabes said he doesn't expect the superstar hoss to be ready to go for this one.

Brian Daboll doesn't think Andrew Thomas will play in Week 5 vs. Miami

You already know Daniel Jones has to be distraught knowing that he's likely going to have to go another game without his best blocker out there in front of him. Jones is getting absolutely no help from the offensive line, with each game making things worse.

In a positive for the Giants offense, Saquon Barkley will be taking team reps at practice on Wednesday, which feels like a good sign for his availability in south Florida this weekend. However, if the offensive line continues to struggle, the run game likely won't be a factor once again.

This team needs Thomas to get back out there as soon as possible. At the same time, we understand not wanting to rush the LT back too soon either. The Giants really are in a tough spot these days with all of the injuries.

Thomas is without question one of the most important guys for this squad. If he can't play vs. Miami, everyone will have to keep their fingers crossed he'll be good to go to take on Buffalo next Sunday night.
